It’s my belief that we should all be active and play our part in the world.
Here you’ll find information on the issues that I am passionate about, and the campaigns that I am involved with, or promoting:
- Raising awareness of Aboriginal Rights. It is her belief that there is no need for the continued discrimination of these countries in the governance of Federal Australia. Working with the Our Generation team fighting for social justice, Nikki is working to promote the Our Generation documentary to increase awareness and inform UK audiences of the reality of the situation in Australia: www.ourgeneration.org.au
- Ready For Work, which started off as part of Channel 4′s Battlefront series, is a campaign to get employers to provide more work experience placements for young people, and change the negative attitude that organisations have towards young people: http://www.battlefront.co.uk/job
- Creating positive youth spaces, which provide informal learning in a non prescriptive way using a holistic approach to personal and community development using One World. Nikki is working with Logic of the People’s Army, Zoe Sparkle and young people from Maidstone and the surrounding areas, to create is an artistic hub that brings together young people from all cultural backgrounds to understand each other better, and create positive solutions to the issues that they are concerned about.
