I work with young people from the perspective that they know what they want, they sometimes simply need some advice and guidance how to get there. I like projects that are designed and developed by young people, and most importantly working with groups that have asked me to support them. Currently I’m supporting:
- Supporting Ethical Action (http://www.ethicalactionuk.com/) to grow as a student organisation raising awareness of human rights and social justice issues at Roehampton University and the surrounding community
Another area is supporting young people have their voices heard, and develop the skills to change their lives:
The Project „Better Life – Better Opportunities” is about a large issue of youth entrepreneurship – how to inspire and enhance it. The project was developed during the seminar “Euromed without Borders” in Bulgaria. We have 9 partner organizations from 7 different countries – 4 from UE and 3 from Euromed. The participants are youth workers, youth leaders, experts- facilitators. The main objective of the project is to create a platform for discussion, exchange opinions, share good practices in the field to inspire and strengthen youth entrepreneurship. The main activity will be 8-day seminar organised in Poland, in which participants will share knowledge, experience, opinions and understanding of the concept of entrepreneurship and its various and extensive aspects, they will work together to increase its capacity to inspire and strengthen youth entrepreneurship, exchange practical tools, learn about and discuss the role of ngo in strengthening youth entrepreneurship, great fun, integrate together, approach each other. Together will organize a conference for the residents of Rybnik and the surrounding area, and the last day they will reflect on possibilities of continued cooperation. They will build intercultural dialogue, jointly create a better future and better opportunities for young people. The projects will use active methods of learning from each other.
The result of the project will deepen the knowledge and understanding of youth entrepreneurship, exchange of methods and tools to inspire and strengthen entrepreneurship, conference, new opportunities to work with young people, new ideas for projects and, consequently, to give young people opportunities for a better life and better future. The result of the project will also be dialogue, friendship, understanding, close relationships and strong partnerships.
